Currently we have 30 rats sharing their lives with us - 14 girls and 12 boys. They live in two seperate colony cages and come out each day for group free-ranging time, as well as individually for that one-on-one attention. All our rats are equally special and loved by us - no one misses out. We also foster for the NZ Rat Rescue, so our total number varies depending on how full the rescue is.

All our rats have Harlan lab blocks available to them 24 hrs a day. This base diet is then supplemented by my home-made dry mix for breakfast, a share in our dinner at night, and also other fresh fruit and veges to ensure they have a healthy well-balanced diet. They also recieve vet care whenever needed, regardless of cost, and are supplied with a large number of toys and hammocks.
