The different colours and markings of rats available in NZ are due to their different genetics. As a breeder understanding these genetics is very important to me, and I have also found many other people share my interest.
Eventually this section will contain a full discussion of what I have learned about the genetics of rats in NZ, as well as tutorials to help others understand basic genetics. In the meantime, please contact me and I am happy to discuss genetics with you!
